URISE (Undergraduate Research, Innovation & Scholarly Endeavor) is an initiative launched in August 2025 under the leadership of the Provost, Prof. Dr. Asghar Zaidi at UMT. Modeled on MIT's UROP program, URISE empowers undergraduate students to engage in real-world research through mentorship, training, funding, and academic recognition. The program connects students with faculty, graduate researchers, and research centers, creating pathways toward publications, scholarships, and future MS/PhD opportunities.
