Introduction

In the contemporary dynamic landscape, where communication transcends traditional borders and constraints, the mastery of adept creative writing skills assumes paramount importance. Our program is dedicated to inspiring creative excellence by providing advanced writing skills, diverse perspectives, and industry insights. We foster innovative thinking and encourage breaking conventional boundaries, preparing participants for successful careers in the professional creative writing landscape.

The one-year postgraduate diploma in creative writing offered by SLA provides an in-depth exploration of various writing genres, techniques, and styles. Through hands-on projects and dynamic learning experiences, students will develop a portfolio of original works, refine their storytelling abilities, and gain a solid understanding of the publishing industry. Graduates will be well-equipped to pursue careers as authors, freelance writers, editors, and content creators, or continue their academic journey in writing and literature.

Admission Requirements

Prospective applicants to the PGD-CW must fulfill the following admission requirements:

  • A BS degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
  • A minimum CGPA of 2.0 is required.
  • A minimum of 60% passing marks in the Admission Test and Interview for admission.
  • Submission of a creative writing work is mandatory.

Duration

  • One academic year (or 2 semesters)
  • Total credit hours: 18
