Dr. Rahat Bashir is an Assistant Professor of English, researcher, and teacher educator with 18 years of experience in higher education. She holds a PhD in English and an MPhil in Applied Linguistics. Her research interests include postcolonial literature, discourse analysis, trauma narratives, identity, media semiotics, sociolinguistics, ecocriticism, literary theory, and English language teaching. She has taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses, supervised MPhil research, and contributed to curriculum development, outcome-based education, academic audit, programme coordination, and internationalization. Her research has appeared in national and international journals, alongside her active contributions to editorial work, teacher training, mentoring, and academic leadership.
