Shabana Zafar is an academic working in the areas of Sociolinguistics, English Literature, and Linguistics. Her academic interests include the intersection of language, society, culture, identity. She is particularly interested in examining how language functions within diverse social and educational contexts and how linguistic practices shape communication, identity, and learning. Her research interests range from Sociolinguistics, Applied Linguistics, Second Language Acquisition, English Language Teaching, language and identity, multilingualism, digital communication, and emerging approaches to language education. Her recent research interests also extend to the role of digital and multimodal technologies in English language learning, to support learners' communication, confidence, and interactional competence. She engages students of literature involved by making it alive. The teaching trough enactments make literature relatable to students.
